There are many career paths for cosmetology graduates as well, with opportunities to become creative stylists for film shoots and fashion shows, salon owners, product developers, or cosmetology teachers. With a healthy client list or an entertainment position, hairdressers can earn over $50,000 a year. It’s a profession that takes a certain personality type, spatial awareness, and a creative bent.
